The government controlled IRNA news agency announced on Monday November 16th that the regime\u2019s parliament has voted to expel from Iran all foreign workers not having work permits by the end of the year. The Green Party of Iran believes that this action will severely affect the 2 million refugees presently residing in the country.\u00a0The Iranian regime\u2019s pressure on the foreigners apparently was justified through the \u201cemployment policies\u201d during the discussion over the third five-year economic, social and cultural development plan (2000-2005).<\/p>\n

The Green Party of Iran condemns this act of inhumanity by the Iranian regime and draws the attention of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and all Green Parties and human rights organizations throughout the world to the precarious situation of refugees in Iran.<\/p>\n
