NIAC worked with them and organized a Congressional briefing for them. Also, NIAC worked with editor of Iraninterlink, identified by the report as VEVAK&#8217;s website.\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.iran-e-sabz.org\/english\/files\/2013\/01\/pentagon-report-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"pentagon report\" width=\"200\" height=\"161\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Library of Congress has released a\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fas.org\/irp\/world\/iran\/mois-loc.pdf\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">report<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0prepared by Pentagon on Iranian intelligence ministry, their techniques in recruiting agents in Europe and the US and in infiltrating US academic institutions and Iranian-American organizations. The 64 page unclassified report published by Washington\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/freebeacon.com\/iran-spy-network-30000-strong\/\">press<\/a>\u00a0and Farsi\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.radiofarda.com\/content\/f10-pentagon-reports-says-iranian-spies-have-global-reach\/24815490.html\">media<\/a>\u00a0names two individuals as the agents of Iranian secret services. Both persons have collaborated with National Iranian American Council (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.niacouncil.org\/site\/PageServer?pagename=NIAC_index\">NIAC<\/a>) led by Trita Parsi, a Washington based advocacy group viewed by many Iranians to be the Mullahs&#8217; lobby in US. The government press in Tehran calls NIAC the &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/iraniansforum.com\/index.php\/factbook\/458-niac-governmentpress\">Iran lobby in US<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Pentagon\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fas.org\/irp\/world\/iran\/mois-loc.pdf\">report<\/a>\u00a0names London based Massoud Khodabandeh and his wife Anne Singleton as the recruits of Iranian intelligence services. (pages 26-27). NIAC&#8217;s internal\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/iraniansforum.com\/index.php\/factbook\/391-factbook\">documents<\/a>\u00a0obtained during a defamation\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/iraniansforum.com\/index.php\/washington-insight\/434-niac-lost-defamation-case-and-sanctioned-for-discovery-abuses\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">lawsuit<\/span><\/a><\/span>, (that NIAC lost) show close collaboration between NIAC and these two individuals. In 2008, NIAC\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/iraniansforum.com\/Document\/KhodabandehBriefing.jpg\">organized<\/a>\u00a0a Congressional briefing in Washington for these Iranian agents and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/iraniansforum.com\/Document\/Check.jpg\">paid<\/a>\u00a0their travel fare but the US Homeland Security intervened and stopped them from boarding the London flight to Washington.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the report identifies several websites such as\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iran-interlink.org\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Iran Interlink<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0as being operated by the Iranian intelligence agency. (p. 41) NIAC also\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/iraniansforum.com\/Document\/Talebi-sobhani.pdf\">collaborated<\/a>\u00a0with H. Sobhani, editor of Iran Interlink. Sobhani wrote\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/iran-interlink.org\/?mod=view&amp;id=3014\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">an article<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0and labeled Daioleslam a terrorist. Then, Trita Parsi and NIAC used this article in a large scale\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/niac.convio.net\/site\/News2?page=NewsArticle&amp;id=6135&amp;security=1&amp;news_iv_ctrl=-1\">campaign<\/a>\u00a0against Daioleslam to discredit him and eventually use it in the defamation lawsuit. Parsi further instructed numerous\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lobelog.com\/who-is-hassan-daioleslam\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">friendly websites<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0to use Sobhani&#8217;s article and smear Daioleslam.<\/p>\n<p>This new credible revelation by the Pentagon and the Library of Congress about NIAC&#8217;s collaborators raises serious questions about US National Security as NIAC maintains intimate relations with US government. For example, in a series of troubling emails the State Department officials coordinated a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/iraniansforum.com\/index.php\/factbook\/459-niacandstatedepartment\">joint lobby<\/a>\u00a0in Congress to raise funds for an initiative that would allegedly facilitate better relation between Iran and the US.<\/p>\n<p>In another\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/iraniansforum.com\/index.php\/factbook\/460-dubaiconsulate\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">series of emails<\/span><\/a><\/span>, the US Consular official based in Dubai asked NIAC to help the Consulate in its outreach program towards Iranians. The American official suggests funding NIAC through a detour in order for the funds to be untraceable.<\/p>\n<p>In a third example, complicity between the State Department and NIAC is beyond comprehension.\u00a0\u00a0 In a series of emails, a State official asked Trita Parsi about the Iranian regime&#8217;s motivations in foreign policy and how best the US can approach the regime. Parsi burst into an\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/iraniansforum.com\/Document\/WhatIranwants.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">emotional defense<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0of Tehran and presented the regime as a victim of US belligerent policies. Strangely enough, the State Department official\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/iraniansforum.com\/Document\/WhatdoesIranwant2.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">agreed<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0with Parsi.<\/p>\n<p>NIAC is the administration&#8217;s main\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.niacouncil.org\/site\/News2?page=NewsArticle&amp;id=8465\">interlocutor\u00a0<\/a>on Iran issues, US embassies continue to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/jeddah.usconsulate.gov\/trita-parsi.html\">invite\u00a0<\/a>Parsi to speak at events organized and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ieee.es\/Galerias\/fichero\/OtrasActividades\/2012\/CITPAX-FP-Invitacion8oct2012.pdf\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">sponsored<\/span>\u00a0<\/a>by their embassy, he is invited to brief the State Department officials, teach classes for them (paid for) and most prominent State&#8217;s officials\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KwCz2W3TQi0\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">speak<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0at NIAC&#8217;s event.<\/p>\n<p>US government may think that they have found a back alley doorway to the Iranian regime.\u00a0 In reality, it could be Tehran\u2019s Ayatollahs who have found a back alley door to the State Department!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Pentagon report names two individuals as Iranian intelligence agents.
